                "The Six Pillars of Character"
1. Trustworthiness: Dont steal, cheat, or lie. Do everything you say you are going to do, a good example of trustworthiness is someone telling you to buy something for them and you buying it, this shows that the other person trusts in you.
2. Respect: follow the golden rule, be tolerant and accept differences, don't use bad language and always have good manners. An example of this would be speaking with respect to someone elderly.
3. Responsibility: Do what you are supposed to do, keep in mind your chores, not procrastinating. One example of responsibility would be to always do your hw.
4. Fairness: Treat everyone equally, with respect and admiration. Some examples of Fairness are not judging people because they are of a different color as you, and sharing things equally.
5. Caring: Be compassionate and show you care. An example of caring would be helping out someone when they fall.
6. Citizenship: do your share to make your school and community better. An example of citizenship is cleaning your school from any little piece of trash you see.

In reflection the six pillars is an amazing organization that allows everyone to become a better person and our way of living. It gives us great teachings and knowledge that can be used all the time.

                  Student Success Statement
"When a deep injury is done us, we never recover until we forgive."
                                    Alan Paton

In reflection many people that you love will cause you great damage and it will cause great anger within your own person, but in order to make the world a greater place you need to be a greater person and this means being able to forgive and continue with your life. Being resentful towards those that injured us will lead no where it will just cause negative effects on everyone.

  1. Treat the earth and all that dwells therein with respect.
  2. Remain  close to the great spirit.
  3. Show great respect to your fellow beings.
  4. Work together for the benefit of all mankind.
  5. Give assistance and kindness wherever needed.
  6. Do what you know to be right.
  7. Look after the well-being of mind and body.
  8. Dedicate a share of your efforts to the greater good.
  9. Be truthful and honest at all times.
  10. Take full responsibility for your actions.
The 10 indian commandments are incredible for many reasons, not only do they make people respect nature but also their fellow beings. They might not seem complicated but in order to accomplish them all you need to have peace within, there is the necessity to be honorable, trustworthy, and reliable not only with your own person but with everyone.

                 student success statement

"When i do good, i feel good. When i do bad, i feel bad."

                                     Abraham lincoln

This great quote by Abraham lincoln means that by doing good things, by helping others, by choosing the right path you are going to feel good because you know you have done something good, this helps your mind and your spirit because it keeps your mind positive and honest, and it purifies your soul, making you a better person. You can do good by just helping someone cross the street, by helping someone get up after falling, or even by giving a candy to a little kid, this will make you a better person because you are expecting nothing in return for choosing the right. Also by doing bad you will feel bad, because you are doing that is not fair neither to you or to others, and you get your soul dirty, and your mind is gong to start thinking negative and want to do more bad things, by choosing the wrong you can also affect your body by using drugs.

                     Patric and the scorpion

In this story i learn that parents don't make do things just to be mean, they do it to keep you safe from any risk. It might be something as small as making you put on your shoes, or making you eat healthy, but they do it because they know what can happen to you, so you need to choose the right and obey them, because obedience is the key to success.

                   Student success statement

"When you tell one lie, it leads to another"
                                               Paul hatch

Every time you tell a little fib it will lead to another one, no matter how small or innocent the lie is you'll need to make another one to cover it up, creating an even bigger lie every single time. It is better to tell the truth from the beginning even if it might hurt someones feelings.

                 Student success statement

1.Can people trust me to do what's right?

3.Do i treat people the way i want to be treated?

"if the answer to these questions are YES, there is no way you can fail"

                                                                  Lou Holtz
my answer to the first question is that people can indeed trust me to do whats right, and my answer to the second one is yes, because i try my best at everything i do, and i do treat people the way i want to be treated.

                          Basketball coach
The kindness of the basketball coach towards his team manager was priceless, the coach made the dreams of his player come true, it might have caused them to lose the game, but seen him play was the biggest award the coach could have won. He made the manager of the team the happiest man ever, and they might have lost the game, but for everyone to see him play, it was amazing, and both teams ended winning at the end.

                 Student success statement

"If it is not right do not do it; if it is not true do not say it"
                                      Marcus Aurelius

if something is not right don't do it because it will only bring problems, choosing the wrong is a bad idea, also if something is not true don't say because you can get some one in problems but they didn't deserve to.
                               Dental assistant

Duties and responsibilities: their responsibility is to prepare patients for surgery or for an oral examination, they also prepare the things the dentist might need by cleaning them and organizing it, in some cases they will help the dentist in a surgery.

Salary: 25,000-50,000

Education: Dental assistants receive their formal education through academic programs at community colleges, vocational schools, technical institutes, universities or dental schools.

Picture:

Reflection: in my opinion wouldn’t like to be a medical assistant because you aren’t able to do a lot of things, and you don’t get paid a lot, it might lead you to become an actual dentist but it can take a lot of time.

               Student success statement

"It may make a difference to all eternity whether we do right or wrong today."
                              James Freeman Clark

In my opinion James is right because if you choose to do right today you will feel proud of it, and decide to do good every other day, if u choose to do wrong you will start doing wrong.

integrity means standing up for what is right even if everyone is against it, it also means to go head to head with the truth and not be afraid of what might happen, if someone ask you if you want to smoke the right thing would be to say no because it is the right thing to do.

                    student success statement
"be cool in  school-live every rule"

as people believe that being cool means to do bad things like smoking, drinking, or stealing, they are wrong because they are choosing the wrong, they will end up in jail. being cool in school can mean that teachers like you, and you don't have to do bad things to make people like you, also that to respect your teachers and the staff.

                   student success statement
" a good name is rather to be chosen than                       great riches."

in reflection choosing the the right is more valuable than gold and silver because it will earn you a good name. A good name is only given when you respect others, and do the right things even if people say they are wrong.

Christopher columbus: Christopher was a Genoese explorer, navigator, and colonizer. His goals were to establish permanent settlement on the island of Hispaniola. Columbus trying to get to asia for spice trade, ended in the new world, settling in san Salvador, later visited the Caribbean, coast of Venezuela, and central America, claiming them for the Spanish empire. He spread the word of Christianity in the new world. It is celebrated because thanks to him America is what it is today.

reflection: i feel that thanks to columbus the americas have developed, and that if it hadn't been for his mistake things would have been different.
