What i believe this quote means is that it's up to you to choose how you want your eternity to be, weather you want to live your eternity with a remorse feeling for doing wrong, or live whit a pure spirit, by doing one act of honesty you are in the way to a good eternity, if you see someone that needs help and you choose to help them that will make you want to help more people, making a difference for the rest of your life, but if you choose to ignore it you will carry a bad feeling all your life.
